One of the highlights of our trip was a vintage tram tour that whisked us through the charming streets of Prague. These brightly coloured period-era vehicles boast elegant wooden interiors and polished seating fit for nobility. As we settled into our seats, the gentle clatter of wheels against the tracks and the ding of the bell created a unique and nostalgic experience. An accordion player was onboard, serenading us with rhythmic tunes as we sipped on Becherovka, a traditional Czech herbal liqueur, and took in the stunning sights around us, with each corner revealing something new and exciting.

A Scenic River Cruise
After sightseeing, we went on an enchanting river cruise along the Vltava River. This experience provided beautiful views of famous landmarks, including Prague Castle and Charles Bridge. Sitting high on a hill, Prague Castle is an old fortress with eye-catching Gothic spires and colourful Baroque architecture. In contrast, Charles Bridge is a remarkable example of medieval engineering, decorated with 30 impressive statues of saints. Its worn stones tell stories of the many travellers who have crossed its arches over the centuries, adding to the bridge’s timeless charm.
Fusion of Flavours
We tucked into our mouthwatering dinner at Talir Restaurant which served up a unique fusion of tapas with traditional Czech cuisine. The food was sumptuous with flavours of smoky and savoury (and hints of spice). The restaurant is located in the heart of Prague, right on Wenceslas Square, with stunning views of this historic landmark. Wenceslas Square is lined with grand Art Nouveau buildings and crowned by the National Museum. By night, the square’s glowing lights bring the city’s charm to life, making Talir the perfect spot to soak in Prague’s nighttime scene.
Unleashing Creativity with the iPad City Rally
The next day, we kicked off our adventures with an interactive iPad City Rally that took us through UNESCO World Heritage sites in the historic centre of Prague. Divided into teams, we were each given an iPad loaded with a customised app that guided us through the city. The app not only provided information about each landmark but also featured engaging challenges, questions and scavenger hunts that encouraged us to dive deeper into Prague’s rich culture and history.
Mastering the Polka
What better way to immerse ourselves in Czech culture than with some Polka dance lessons? We learned the traditional steps that have been passed down through generations. Laughter filled the air as we tried to keep up with the lively rhythm, proving that learning can be both fun and a great way to strengthen team dynamics.
A Glimpse into Czech Artistry
No trip to Prague would be complete without witnessing the craftsmanship of Bohemian glasswork. We visited the renowned Nizbor Glassworks, where we observed skilled artisans creating stunning pieces of glasswork. The intricate techniques and attention to detail left us in awe. We even had the chance to decorate our own glass vases as a special memento of our time in this remarkable city.
Minting Memories
We had the opportunity to mint our own souvenir coins. This unique experience allowed us to create tangible memories of our adventure while learning about the history and significance of coin minting in Czech culture. Holding our personalised coins felt like carrying a piece of Prague with us, a reminder of the unforgettable moments we shared as a team.
An Evening at the Mirror Chapel
As our journey continued, we were fortunate to experience a private opera performance at the stunning Mirror Chapel – one of the most beautiful libraries in the world. This 18th-century Baroque gem – decorated with gilded mirrors, colourful frescoes, astronomical globes and portraits – felt like stepping into a fairytale. The enchanting atmosphere and beautiful music transported us to another world, providing a perfect backdrop for reflection and appreciation of our shared achievements. The library is home to a collection of 20,000 rare books.
E-Bike Adventures Through Prague
After soaking in the culture and creativity, we switched gears and explored Prague on an e-bike guided tour. The sleek, comfortable bikes with quiet motors made navigating Prague’s hills and cobblestone streets a breeze, allowing us to cover more ground while soaking in the city’s breathtaking views. Riding through picturesque streets, we felt the wind in our hair and the excitement of discovery in our hearts – it was an exhilarating way to connect with the city and each other.

Beer Heritage in Pilsen
Though it’s a short trip outside of Prague, our visit to Pilsen was well worth the journey. Known globally as the birthplace of Pilsner beer, this beautiful town offers a unique dive into the Czech Republic’s brewing and winemaking traditions. Our time there included a guided tour of the renowned Pilsner Urquell Brewery, where we learned about the history and craftsmanship that go into each glass of their iconic beer. From the brewing process to a tasting session of unfiltered Pilsner Urquell beer in the historical cellars – the experience was both educational and enjoyable.
