Lush Beauty & Culture
Known as the “Land of a Thousand Hills,” Rwanda is filled with green landscapes, misty volcanoes, and rich wildlife. Volcanoes National Park is home to about half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, making it one of the best places for gorilla trekking in the world.
Beyond the gorillas, Rwanda has diverse ecosystems, from the rainforests of Nyungwe, where you can find primates and rare birds, to the savannahs of Akagera National Park, home to lions, giraffes, and elephants.

DRY SEASONS
MID-JUNE TO SEPTEMBER & DECEMBER TO FEBRUARY
For gorilla trekking, the best time to visit is during the dry seasons. This period brings warm days and cool nights, with little to no rainfall. This is the best time for gorilla trekking, as the trails are drier and hiking conditions are more comfortable. Clear skies provide stunning views of Rwanda’s rolling hills and volcanoes.

RAINY SEASONS
MARCH TO MID-JUNE & OCTOBER TO NOVEMBER
This season is marked by mild temperatures and frequent showers, especially in the forests. This is the best time for chimpanzee trekking, as the lush greenery makes them easier to track. The short rains in October – November create perfect conditions for birdwatching and photography, with dramatic skies and vibrant landscapes.
