Pristine Landscapes & Wildlife
A land of remarkable beauty and incredible wildlife. From the lush waterways of the Okavango Delta to the wide-open spaces of the Kalahari, Botswana is a safari dream. Nearly a fifth of the country is protected, keeping its landscapes untouched and its animals thriving.
Watch huge elephant herds in the Chobe region, walk across the vast Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, and glide through peaceful delta channels on a unique river safari. Spot big cats in Moremi, track rhinos in the Khama Sanctuary, or take a mokoro (dugout canoe) ride through hidden lagoons. This is nature at its best.

WINTER
MAY TO OCTOBER
Botswana is a year-round destination, but for the best wildlife viewing, visit during the dry winter months. The dry winter season is the best time for game viewing as wildlife gathers around rivers and waterholes. Days are warm and sunny, while evenings can be cool. This season also has minimal mosquito activity.
SUMMER
NOVEMBER TO APRIL
Summer brings the lush wet season of green landscapes and dramatic thunderstorms. So, if you prefer fewer crowds, vibrant scenery, and excellent birding, the green season is ideal. While the scenery is stunning, some areas may be harder to access due to seasonal rains. This is a fantastic time for birdwatching and to see newborn wildlife.
