Bazaruto Archipelago

Scattered off the southern coast of Mozambique are five tropical islands, the Bazaruto Archipelago. You can stay on either of the two largest islands, Bazaruto Island or Benguerra Island. Direct flights from the Kruger International Airport to Vilanculos (the gateway to the Bazaruto Archipelago) makes these islands an excellent choice for a big game safari and beach holiday.

Spend lazy days in a luxury beach lodge overlooking a white stretch of sand and the turquoise blue of the Indian Ocean. The Bazaruto Archipelago lies within a Marine National Park, so below the waves the magic continues with vibrant coral reefs, turtles, dolphins and the shy dugong. Away from the beach you’ll find freshwater lakes and tall sand dunes – fantastic for dune boarding and sunset drinks.
