There’s so much to do at this luxury safari lodge. You could start your day with a guided game drive, a sunrise cruise on the Zambezi River or a trip to see Victoria Falls. The lodge offers boat transfers the 7km downriver to Victoria Falls Town; a fantastic way to not only get to the falls but also see the resident wildlife: the crocodiles basking on the sunny riverbanks and elephant swimming – their trunks held high.
As for the accommodation, Victoria Falls River Lodge has 7 Luxury Tents and 3 Family Tents set just back from the water’s edge. Each tent has a spacious bedroom and sitting area, as well as a private deck and a fridge stocked with drinks and snacks. This is a fantastic place to while away the heat of the day, listening to birdsong and watching for monkeys in the tree branches.
The main lodge is a thatched building with an open-plan design, riverside lounge and rim-flow swimming pool. Don’t be surprised to see the occasional elephant wandering by or warthogs grazing on the lodge lawn. In the evening join the other guests to chat about your days’ adventures over drinks, before sitting down to a delicious three-course dinner.
