Singita Kataza House

Singita Kataza House sits on 178 acres of breathtaking land right on the edge of Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park, a place of exceptional natural beauty where more than half of the world’s endangered mountain gorillas live in high-altitude dense rainforests.

The private villa is beautifully designed with remarkable surroundings in mind. Local stonemasons and weavers are used to create décor and design elements from local materials like volcanic rock, river stone and red clay bricks. The result is a contemporary style with a distinct African appeal. Kataza comfortably accommodates eight people in its four bedrooms and the and is fully serviced with a private chef and host, making the villa feel like a home away from home. The house’s environmentally conscious hospitality is guaranteed to exceed any traveller’s expectations as they focus on transformative and purpose-driven experiences. Guests can also access all facilities at the sister lodge Singita Kwitonda Lodge.

Apart from thrilling gorilla treks, other activities include golden monkey walks, day tours to the vibrant capital city, Kigali – including a visit to the Genocide Memorial – trips to the Musanze Caves and Nyungwe National Park. Fine-dining experiences are offered as they have a farm-to-table approach that celebrates Rwandese cuisine using fresh produce straight from the garden.
