Londolozi Tree Camp

Londolozi Tree Camp takes its name from the 300-year-old leadwood tree that towers over the main deck. This elevated deck is the focal point of the lodge, and a beautiful place to enjoy an alfresco lunch and glass of wine while looking out over the Sand River. Londolozi is one of South Africa’s original private game reserves, and has a well-earned reputation as one of the best places in Africa to view the normally elusive leopard.

This Relais & Châteaux lodge has 6 luxurious suites. Each suite is light and spacious with a comfortable lounge area, and large windows letting in views of the surrounding bush. The attention to detail is impeccable with Ralph Lauren wallpaper and large black-and-white leopard photographs adding to the luxurious safari feel. Outside you’ll find your own private deck, infinity plunge pool and shaded sala that’s perfect for afternoon naps.

Skilled game rangers and trackers take you out on morning and afternoon game drives in search of Africa’s Big 5. There are sure to be plenty of photographic opportunities, and back at the lodge you can visit the Londolozi Photographic Studio to edit and print your best safari shots. In the evenings, the camp glows with countless lanterns, and gourmet dinners are served out on the deck or in the dining lounge overlooking the camp’s waterfall pool.
