Lion Camp
Lion Camp lies in the remote northern regions of Zambia’s South Luangwa National Park. Newly renovated, this sophisticated camp sits tucked amongst woodlands and large Mahogany trees, on the edge of the Luangwa River. This is a bespoke safari experience for those looking for some one-on-one time with nature.
Elevated walkways link the 10 chic suites to the main lodge, which has a beautiful open lounge area with comfortable nooks. The main deck and swimming pool are the perfect places to sit and watch wildlife, which comes and goes at the nearby waterhole. Expect to see elephant, hippo and antelope around the camp; and lion, leopard, buffalo and giraffe in the immediate surrounds.
Lion Camp operates in the dry season when game viewing is unsurpassed. Daily game drives take you out into the reserve, and the South Luangwa is famous for its walking safaris too. Much of the food used here is grown on-site, and the African-fusion themed menu is paired with South African estate wines.
