La Residence
La Residence is a lavish chateau on a 30-acre estate in the Franschhoek Valley of the Cape Winelands. The setting is sunning, surrounded by vineyards and plum orchards with beautiful mountain views and peacocks strutting across the neat lawns. Step inside the Great Hall and you enter a world of opulence with the black-and-white marble floor, vast fireplaces and high vaulted ceiling hung with ornate chandeliers.
La Res (as it’s fondly known) has 11 suites at the hotel, and for more privacy and space the 5 Vineyard Suites (great for families or groups of friends!). Each suite has whimsical interiors from the exotic Tibetan Suite with its oriental antiques to the vibrant pinks and greens of the Disa Suite. Furnishings are plush, colourful and stylish; and French doors open onto sunny private terraces with vineyard and mountain views.
You cannot fault the service at La Res! From your warm welcome with a glass of wine to your final good bye, we know that you’ll be well looked after. Food too is of the highest standard, and even with the superb restaurant choice in Franschhoek it’s still worth eating in. Enjoy wine tasting, cycle around the estate, relax next to the rim-flow swimming pool or opt for a treatment at the on-site spa. Franschhoek village is a 5-minute drive away, and the hotel provides complimentary transfers.
