Kings Pool
King’s Pool overlooks a beautiful oxbow lagoon in Botswana’s Linyanti Wildlife Reserve. Game viewing in the Linyanti Region is on a par with its better-known neighbour, Chobe National Park. However, unlike Chobe, this is a private wildlife concession so you’re guaranteed an exclusive safari experience with hardly another vehicle in sight.
This super luxurious camp has 9 tented suites, each with plenty of private space including a generous-sized deck with your own plunge pool and thatched sala. Between game drives, enjoy lazy siestas on your shaded daybed, listening to the grunting of hippos in the lagoon. The incredible staff at King’s Pool soon have you feeling like family, and the quality of the food is exceptional (and plentiful too!).
Game drives are both informative and exciting. Linyanti is known for its large elephant population as well as its predators – lion, leopard and the endangered wild dog. You also have the option of guided safari walks, and the camp has a couple of sunken hides which put you eye-level to the feet and trunks of massive elephants! End your safari activities with a sunset river cruise on the Queen Sylvia barge (when water levels allow).
