Elewana Tarangire Treetops

Set in the game-rich Tarangire National Park, Elewana Tarangire Treetops offers both memorable accommodation and great game viewing. The elevated tree-top rooms are lavishly appointed with a modern African décor. Rooms are complete with en-suite bathrooms housing exotic double showers and open views across the Tarangire plans from the private balconies.

The rooms centre around the main lodge, which is built around a 1 000-year-old Baobab tree. The lounge and dining room overlook the swimming pool and a busy waterhole. Meals are enjoyed in the dining room, by the side of the pool or in the traditional boma lit by candles accompanied by the enigmatic chants of local Maasai singers. Lunches and delicious dinners enjoyed in the wildness of the bush are also on offer.

There are many ways to get into the wilderness here. It is one of few places where night game drives are an option enabling the viewing of many nocturnal animals. Guided walking safaris offer a different way of experiencing the African bush. A tour of a local Maasai village is a highlight experience. Condé Nast Traveler’s annual Readers’ Choice Awards ranked Elewana Tarangire Treetops number 12 in the Top 30 Resorts in Africa in 2019.
