Busanga Bush Camp

Busanga Bush Camp is located in the heart of the Busanga Plains In Zambia, a vast mosaic of expansive, grassy seasonal floodplains that extends to the horizon. This camp, nestled in a vegetated island of fig trees, can accommodate eight guests in four well-appointed tents. The lounge area is under canvas looking out over the floodplain; breakfast is often served here to take in the view of herds of lechwe and puku.

The views are completely uninterrupted whether you are in the main camp area for meals served up under a canopy of trees or relaxing in front of your own tented room. One of the highlights are the incredible Busanga sunrises and sunsets due to some mist rising from the channels of water, adding a pink glow to everything. Large pride of lion stalk the abundance of antelope in the region from the puku, red lechwe to larger wildebeest. Cheetah and wild dog are also often spotted. A veritable paradise for bird lovers with close on 500 species of bird including the endemic Chaplin’s Barbet as well as some serious raptors.
