Suzaan entered the travel industry in 2006, and nearly two decades later, her passion for crafting unforgettable journeys across Southern and East Africa is as strong as ever. Since joining GILTEDGE in 2013, she’s been part of a team dedicated to delivering exceptional, once-in-a-lifetime travel experiences.
What has been your favorite safari experience?
A family safari in Sabi Sands stands out as one of my most treasured moments. Watching my daughter light up with excitement as she spotted wildlife—both big and small—was an unforgettable experience. A safari through a child’s eyes makes it even more enchanting.
What is one place in Africa that's forever in your heart?
I can’t choose just one, so here are two!
1. The Serengeti’s Great Migration – Seeing thousands of wildebeest thunder across the plains was the most breathtaking wildlife spectacle I’ve ever witnessed.
2. A hot air balloon ride over the Masai Mara – Floating above the vast landscape at sunrise? Pure bliss!
Top tip for clients / go to travel hack?
Put the camera down – take in the moment because those sights will stay with you forever.
Dress in layers – early mornings can be chilly but it warms up fast!
