Proudly South African, Monique makes the most of Cape Town’s incredible lifestyle. Whether it’s mountain biking, surfing, hiking, or simply enjoying great company, she’s all about soaking up the energy of the outdoors. She loves evening markets where locals come together, lazy Sundays at wine estates with a picnic, and catching live music at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden.

What has been your favorite safari experience?

Without a doubt, my experience in the Linyanti. Imagine this: a fiery red and orange sunset, a massive herd of elephants kicking up dust as they cross the plains, a lion taking down a zebra, a playful cub perched in a tree – only for elephants to try and nudge it off with their trunks! It was an unreal, action-packed moment that I’ll never forget. (Seriously, ask me about it – I could talk about this for hours!)

What is one place in Africa that's forever in your heart?

Sabi Sands. It never disappoints. The game viewing is top-tier, and every visit feels like a new adventure.

Top tip for clients / go to travel hack?

Pack light and dress in layers! If you’re flying on small planes, keep in mind that weight limits are strict – but the journey is all part of the adventure!
