Kayla has been in the travel industry since 2001, starting at Wilderness Safaris and later working with boutique DMCs across Europe, Asia, and India. She spent eight years in KwaZulu-Natal crafting high-end itineraries, including private charters and champagne stops in the Delta. Having travelled extensively across Southern Africa, she’s passionate about creating one-of-a-kind luxury experiences.
Outside of work? She’s a foodie (cooking is her love language!), a rugby and football fan, and loves long walks on the beach.
What has been your favorite safari experience?
My first time at Mombo Camp on Chief’s Island – it was wild! I witnessed a honey badger take down a tortoise (nature is hardcore), followed by an insane battle between a 3-meter-long black mamba and two mongoose. It was like watching the ultimate dance-off, but with teeth and venom!
What is one place in Africa that's forever in your heart?
Namibia’s Skeleton Coast. The landscapes are unreal, and meeting the Himba people was an experience I’ll treasure forever.
