On a beautiful crisp Autumn day last week, Linda and I went on a short drive, to discover a secluded venue right on our doorstep. A real gem is tucked behind heavy wrought iron gates in the green leafy green suburb of Constantia. Located only minutes away from the City Bowl yet seemingly miles away from the bustle of our busy city. This iconic Cape Dutch property was once the home of the Dutch Embassy (hence the name) The Forum Embassy Hill and prior to that a private family home of a well known Cape Town family.

The main light filled Conservatory venue is ideal for large & small meetings, gala dinners & private parties, catering for up to 160 guests. Elegant and simple, with a high vaulted ceiling and glass doors opening onto manicured gardens. It has a drop-down screen, projector and surround sound.

Varied venues make up this magnificent property, ranging from the intimate library seating only 8 guests, to the larger sunroom, seating 40 guests & pool room seating 50 guests, there is a space suited to every occasion. Privately owned it means flexibility is key and this keeps guests happy as all their needs are met.

The outside spaces are breathtaking, from the lawned area around the sparkling swimming pool, presided over by tall Cypress trees, to a terraced top lawn with views over the nearby Constantia vineyards.

The Forum Company believes in an artisanal and bespoke approach to food, being producers of high-quality, creative and traditionally made food. No boring traditional conference food here! We didn’t get to sample their food but the staff lunch smelt delicious.

Giltedge would have no hesitation in recommending this charming venue to you for your next conference or special event. Please contact us for further details and pricing.
