Selinda Explorers Camp

Located on a remote stretch of the Selinda Spillway, in the heart of the Selinda Reserve. Selinda Explorers Camp is located in an exclusive-use concession and caters for a maximum of eight guests, making it ideal for those who wish to experience a pristine wilderness in a very private setting. The Selinda Spillway is an ephemeral waterway that links the Okavango Delta with the Linyanti wetlands and the Chobe River system. After years without water, the Spillway is once again flowing and is consequently flourishing with life.

Under a canopy of jackalberry and mangosteen trees, the four canvas guest tents with separate en-suite bathroom with shower. A wooden walkway allows you to cross from the flush toilet to the shower without walking on the sand. In the centre is a 200-litre bucket shower; with more than enough water, and hot water brought in the mornings and evenings, it is as good as any hotel shower!

Meals are cooked in the in house kitchen and served beneath the stars or in the tented dining area. Guided walks and canoe excursions encourage guests to get further in touch with nature. Experience this untrammelled wilderness on foot, by 4X4 and canoe and discover the mysteries of the Selinda Reserve. Filled with birds, the area is known for huge herds of elephants and buffalo as well as the full range of predators, including the ever-elusive leopard and wild dog.
