Paradis Hotel & Golf Club lies on the Le Morne peninsula, one of the most sought-after locations on the island of Mauritius. The setting really is hard to beat: a 3km (2 miles) stretch of beach, reef-protected lagoon and an 18-hole golf course – all laid out at the foot of Le Morne Mountain.
The calm waters of the lagoon and a huge choice of water sports make Paradis Hotel a top choice for families or active couples. A few of our favourite things to do include stand-up paddle boarding, water skiing, snorkelling and scuba diving. Back on dry land you can play tennis, go mountain biking or tee off on an 18-hole golf course which follows the shoreline of a spectacular bay. There are even private golf lessons to help you perfect your swing!
Accommodation options include rooms, suites and villas; and it’s well worth paying that little bit extra for beachfront accommodation a few steps from the sand. As for dining you not only have the four restaurants at Paradis (we particularly loved the seafood at Blue Marlin!) but can also pop across to next-door Dinarobin Hotel. There’s a Clarins Spa (with eight massage rooms), a lovely swimming pool, and since Paradis faces west you can toast those sunsets as they slip into the Indian Ocean.
All in all, Paradis Hotel & Golf Club is fantastic for an active beach holiday, as well as being the kind of place where you can pick a sun lounger and hardly move for a few blissful days.
