Tamera Laine

Tamera has been involved in the travel industry for almost all her life! She has ticked many African destinations off her bucket list: Tanzania, Kenya, Seychelles, Botswana, Zimbabwe and South Africa. Yet, her favourite memories would have to be a hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti in Tanzania; meeting amazing people and crossing rivers in Kenya; petting a giant tortoise in the Seychelles; waking up from a lion’s roar at Ngoma in Botswana; lunching at Victoria Falls Hotel and game drives in Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe; and lastly, Cape Town, the Garden Route, and the amazing safaris in South Africa.

Tamera loves to create the perfect itinerary for honeymooners and couples travelling together; multi-generational family trips are great too as it’s fun and educational for children to learn about Africa. When not working or travelling Tamera loves hiking, horseback riding and heading to the lake for relaxation.

What’s been your favourite safari experience?

Pick one place in Africa that’s forever in your heart?

Tanzania was my very first adventure to Africa and the people, land and animals are forever captured my heart.

Top tip for clients?

You may think that this is your once-in-a-lifetime trip but on your return you’re already planning your next trip to go back.  My top tip is to limit the number of places you visit and stay longer in just a few areas, to truly engage with the country, its history, the food and culture and all living creatures.
