I’ve always loved travelling and made it my full-time hobby for a few years after finishing University, and then made it my career. I love the idea of people from all over the world experiencing what Africa and South Africa have to offer. I never get tired of seeing the beautiful Cape and exploring new destinations on my mountain bike. I lived ‘on and off’ in the Seychelles for a few years, and that’s a pretty special part of the world too. Being on safari and back in the bush is a highlight for me, it makes one remember what it’s all about.
What’s been your favourite safari experience?
The Okavango Delta in Botswana, I loved being on the water and seeing game from a different perspective. Precious family time in the bush, seeing the kids so excited and not even thinking of their iPhones.
Pick one place in Africa that’s forever in your heart.
Lesotho, for its untouched beauty, exploring the mountains on my bike and seeing a little bit of snow in Africa!
Top tip for clients?
If you are taking younger children on safari, they love to tick off everything they see, so bird books, animal books are a good idea. Then just go with it – you are going to love it.
