Kaylashney Madanjith (Kayla)

Senior Tour Consultant

Kayla’s travel career began in 2001 when she joined Wilderness Safaris. Over nine years, she had the privilege of visiting their lodges and getting to know their products inside out.

After that, Kayla moved on to work with smaller DMCs, where she took on various projects and worked with diverse markets, including Europe, Asia, and India, handling everything from FIT to group travel.

A big step in Kayla’s journey was relocating to KZN with her family and spending the last eight years at New Frontiers Tours, focusing on high-end US clients. These trips often included private charters between Botswana and Vilanculos, champagne stops in the Delta, and creating truly extraordinary experiences.

Kayla has traveled extensively across Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Mozambique, and many lodges and hotels within South Africa. She is passionate about what she does, always positive, and eager to learn. Outside of work, Kayla loves cooking, which is her love language, and she enjoys rugby, football, and walks on the beach.

What’s been your favourite safari experience?

My first time at Mombo Camp on Chief’s island – I had 2 amazing experiences one being my first kill experience a honey badger killing a tortoise and then an interaction between a 3-metre-long Black mamba and 2 Mongoose, it was a real dance off.

Pick one place in Africa that’s forever in your heart?

Namibia – Skeleton coast . I don’t think anything can top this safari, it was my absolute best trip ever. I met the Himba people and that will always hold a special place in my heart.
