The brand T-bag Designs employs people from Imizamo Yethu township in Hout Bay, Cape Town. They produce handmade products that use recycled tea bags; so, you’re not only supporting locals but you’re also supporting recycling. 4. Ndebele art from Lesedi Cultural Village

Experience South Africa’s tribes on a visit to The Lesedi Cultural Village. You will learn about the Ndebele, Zulu and Xhosa people. The Lesedi village is located in the historic Cradle of Humankind area and you can buy beautiful, handmade arts and crafts that are characteristic of the different cultures that call this village home.

5. Imveli Designs

Looking for a chic African clothing brand? Look no further than Imveli Designs in Khayelitsha. The clothing brand makes modern garments with vintage and traditional twists. The store is at Lookout Hill, Khayelitsha. It’s great to support local seamstresses and designers – and you have beautiful designs to wear back at home.
