Every aspect of our trip was perfect

We have been home for a couple of weeks, and I am finally feeling a little caught up. I’m sure you understand the pain of coming back to work after a long vacation. But it was FOR SURE worth it!!

Every aspect of our trip was perfect. Gideon was a gem, the accommodations just kept getting nicer, and so did all of the experiences. Many people have asked me what was my favorite experience, and I can’t really decide! I didn’t know much about South Africa before I visited, and learned so much from Gideon and Zee, one of the staff at the Sea Five. It was fascinating to hear the “Colored” and Zulu perspectives and to see a township.

The Wine Region was wonderful, too. We happened on “Le Lude”, a winery next to the museum in Franschhoek and it was fabulous! Sparkling wine and delicious canapés. Then the next day Gideon selected three very different, but equally wonderful, wineries for us to visit.

If I had to choose, I would have to select the safari as the favorite experience. It was hard to actually believe that we were in the midst of those fabulous animals. The lodge was beautiful, the guide and tracker were amazing, and the intimate experience with the animals was beyond description.

I really want to thank you for arranging such a wonderful trip that you planned for us. I have already provided your contact information to a neighbor who wants to have the same experience we had. (She followed our trip on Facebook).
