Did you know that we also book Reunion island holidays?

Just east of Madagascar, Reunion is a magical place with an array of landscapes: from jagged mountains and tumbling waterfalls to seaside beaches and cute coastal towns. Of course, a Reunion island holiday is not without a visit to the world’s most accessible and still active volcano, Piton de la Fournaise!

Activities in Reunion

While the island isn’t just for adrenaline junkies, it’s perfect for those who love to be active. Reunion island holidays offer everything from paragliding, canyoning, mountain biking, rafting, diving, whale watching and to horse riding.

Climate

With a maritime climate that is tropical and humid every day in the Reunion Island is a beach day! The island is a destination you can visit any month of the year but the best time to go is between May and July.

July is peak holiday season on the island, with many visitors travelling from mainland France. July to October is whale season, the humidity picks up from November to March, with January and February being the wettest months on the island. Even so, rains are warm and short-lived.

Accommodation

Here are two examples of resorts that we love in Reunion but there are many more:

LUX Saint-Gilles

Nestled on the edge of the coral-sheltered lagoon at L’Hermitage, LUX Saint-Gilles is a stylish hotel, which boasts the only direct access to the most beautiful beach on the island. The 5-star hotel has a relaxed ambiance perfect for spending days around the white sandy beaches or pool.

LUX Saint Gilles has 3 restaurants and several sports facilities, including volleyball, kayaking, tennis, and snorkeling. There’s are lots of activities surrounding the hotel such as: hiking to the remote Cirque of Mafate, visiting the island’s volcanic peaks and canyoning at Rivière Langevin.
