On the 21st July, Linda and a group of 6 agents were invited by Extraordinary on an Africa Albida 3-night educational to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe and Chobe in Botswana.

On the day of departure, Linda was collected from her apartment by Jarat Tours, a luxury chauffeur service, who transported her to Cape Town International Airport. She caught a direct flight with SA Airlink to Victoria Falls International Airport.

On arrival, she and the agents were greeted by a Wild Horizons representative and transferred to the Victoria Falls Safari Club.  Welcomed with a refreshing welcome drink, the group was shown around the beautiful 20-room boutique property that overlooks the game corridor to the Zambezi River and a busy waterhole.

Then they were off to the award-winning MaKuwa-Kuwa Restaurant at the for a delicious lunch. The restaurant is famous for its amazing views overlooking a waterhole which never seems to disappoint with its abundant game sighting.

After lunch, Linda headed to The Vulture Culture Experience that’s located on the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge property. She learned about vulture behaviour and watched the vultures at the daily feeding. Staff put out raw meat in front of the lodge and the vultures swoop down and grab the scraps. This meat supplements their usual diet, as there is not always enough natural food in the bushveld for them to forage.

After witnessing the vultures in action, Linda and her group set off on an evening sunset cruise up the Zambezi river arranged by Wild Horizons.

It was followed by dinner in the Boma, where the group was greeted by live entertainment and joined in interactive drumming.

The following day, waking up early, Linda joined a leisurely tour of The Falls with a jovial guide named Zulu. When the tour concluded, it was time for some adrenaline-filled fun. Linda was brave enough to do the “Flying Fox” and enjoyed a zip-line across the gorge way up above the ground. By the time the activities were concluded, the group was near famished and looking forward to their lunch at the Lookout Café.

Livingstone has a rich cultural heritage. The group enjoyed an afternoon tea and talk, on the life of David Livingstone and his discovery of The Falls. The group then enjoyed sun-downers and canapes at the Safari Club and dinner at MaKuwa-Kuwa Restaurant.

The third morning commenced with an early morning breakfast, followed by a 2 ½ hour road transfer by Wild Horizons to the Kazangula border crossing between Zimbabwe and Botswana. Here the group was met by the Ngoma Safari Lodge GM Francis to collect the group’s luggage which would be taken directly to the lodge.

They hopped into an open vehicle and enjoyed a game drive to Sedudu Island where they were to transfer from land to river. On board the river boat they embarked on a Chobe River Safari Cruise into Chobe National Park, stopping to enjoy a picnic along the way they.

They hopped back into the open vehicle and enjoyed a safari drive to their overnight accommodation at Ngoma Safari Lodge. The evening was spent enjoying some down time and a relaxing dinner at the lodge.

Leaving Ngoma Lodge at 6:00 am with a packed breakfast, Linda and the other agents made their way back to the Kazangula Border. They were collected by Wild Horizons and transferred to Victoria Falls International Airport for a direct flight back to Cape Town. She was picked up again by Jarat Tours. Linda mentioned that their service was phenomenal. the chauffeur offered her refresher towels for her hands after the long flight, cool water, peppermints and a freshly folded newspaper.

Linda would like to thank Extraordinary for putting together such a wonderful experience and to all the service providers for the accommodation, safe transfers, and exceptional activities. It was an unforgettable time!
