Accommodation in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest covers the steep mountain slopes of southwest Uganda. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this incredible rainforest is home to eleven kinds of primates including colobus monkey, chimpanzees and – the real stars of the show – mountain gorillas. Around half the world’s mountain gorillas live in the Bwindi Forest, and gorilla tracking in Uganda has a success rate of around 95%. When you find your gorilla family you’re allowed up to an hour with these gentle great apes, watching them go about their day under the protective gaze of the giant silverback male.
