Accommodation in Northern Serengeti

The parks in the north of Tanzania are some of the most popular safari destinations in the world; partly because of the opportunity to view the annual Wildebeest Migration from the Serengeti to Masai Mara in Kenya. Northern Serengeti features the plains of the Serengeti, the vast volcanic bowl of the Ngorongoro Crater, the tree climbing lions and flamingos of Lake Manyara and the enormous elephant herds of the Tarangire National Park. The Ngorongoro Crater is a 600-meter-deep volcanic crater, which is home to 30,000 animals with a good chance to see the Big Five in the course of a game drive. Lake Manyara National Park is home to over 400 species of birds including thousands of flamingos inhabiting the shallow waters of the lake. Tree-climbing lions are a peculiar sight in this relatively small park. Tarangire National Park teems with wildlife in the dry season and is strewn with giant baobab trees.
