Accommodation in Walvis Bay

Set on Namibia’s coast, Walvis Bay is one of the biggest cities in Namibia besides Windhoek and Swakopmund – but it’s still comparatively small when compared to a European city. Its large natural lagoon attracts an abundant birdlife such as flamingoes and Damara terns. The Atlantic waters are home to dolphins, whales, and Cape fur seals. Just east of the bay lies the magnificent Dune 7, which is great for picnics and enjoying views of both the ocean and desert. It’s here where the Namib Desert begins.
