Kunene

The Kunene River lies on the northern border of Namibia. The only permanent source of water in the area, the river creates an oasis in the lunar-like landscape of the Namib Desert. A boast safari on the Kunene River offers sightings of huge Nile crocodiles, while game drives take you in search of small herds of gemsbok, springbok and Hartmann’s mountain zebra. Go quad biking in the surrounding dunes, and meet the Himba people who continue their traditional semi-nomadic way of life.
