Victoria Falls Hotel

Known as the “Grand Old Lady of The Falls”, The Victoria Falls Hotel is an Edwardian-era hotel that has hosted royal families, statesmen and celebrities. Built in the early 1900s, this historic hotel has retained its grandeur and today is a member of the prestigious “Leading Hotels of The World” group.

The Victoria Falls Hotel has incredible views over wide green lawns, right down to the bridge that connects Zimbabwe and Zambia, and (for most of the year) the clouds of spray from the falls. To get to the falls simply stroll along the hotel’s private footpath. Staying here also puts you close to the colourful markets, cafes and curio shops of Victoria Falls Town.

Yet despite the buzz of the town and all its exciting activities, The Victoria Falls Hotel has a peaceful atmosphere with warthog trotting across the lawns and monkeys sitting high in the branches of 100-year old trees. Inside the hotel, the halls are lined with sepia photos of days gone by, while welcoming lounges invite you to settle in and relax.

A highlight of any stay at The Victoria Falls Hotel is their famous High Tea served out on Stanley’s Terrace. We’d also recommend a night of dinner and dancing at the elegant Livingstone Room – the grandest of the hotels 3 restaurants. As for the accommodation, the hotel has 161 rooms and suites including the more recently renovated Deluxe Rooms in the Stables Signature Wing.
