Arriving at Thonga Beach Lodge, you crest a dune and look down on a white sandy beach stretching off in either direction. The setting is simply stunning! 12 thatched bungalows sit up on the dunes with either ocean or forest views. For added luxury, the Deluxe bungalows also have a private pool, and there are interleading options available for families.
These protected waters offer world-class snorkelling and scuba diving. Enjoy early morning guided kayaking on Lake Sibaya or set out to sea on an exhilarating ocean safari. Large pods of dolphins are common along this coastline and, between November and February turtles come ashore to lay their eggs. Other activities included guided forest walks sundowners on the lake and guided village tours.
While there are so many great activities on offer, Thonga Beach Lodge is also a fantastic place to simply relax. Have coffee on your private deck, then wander down to the beautiful beach with no one else on it! Heathy, delicious meals are served on the dining deck or beach deck overlooking the sea, and there’s a convivial bar area where guests gather to chat about their day’s activities.
