The Hide

The Hide is set on the eastern boundary of the famous Hwange National Park (Zimbabwe’s largest game reserve) and famous for its large elephant herds. The award-winning lodge includes a unique deck-to-waterhole underground tunnel that houses a wine cellar. So, you can view the wildlife at the waterhole up-close-and-personal and take some beautiful photographs.

Ten spacious canvas tents are a mixture of canvas and thatch roofs. Traditional décor meets the natural surroundings, which creep into the units, making you feel as if you are a part of nature. Each luxury tent has its own en-suite bathroom, a bath and indoor-outdoor shower. You can start the day with an al fresco breakfast; dinner is served by the fire around a 22-seater teak dining table. Take a dip in the swimming pool – a refreshing way to escape the heat of midday or relax in lounge or viewing area.

Hwange National Park is home to a great variety of wildlife including the Big 5 and some of the 400-odd species of bird have been recorded here. You can explore the park and its game on morning and afternoon game drives as well as guided walks and night drives.
