Shamwari Explorer Camp
Those who love adventure and walking safaris will fall in love with Shamwari’s Explorer Camp. The camp takes you on a 2-3-day journey in the Shamwari Game Reserve. The Big Five reserve, located in South Africa’s Eastern Cape, is the ideal place to track rhinos and prides of lion.
There’s no WIFI here. So, if you’re after luxury – this place is not for you! But, if you’re looking for an authentic safari experience, you will feel right at home at the Explorer Camp. With three tents, the camp can sleep up to six people. Each camp has two fold-out stretchers, a hammock, a hand basin (located outside) and amenities like insect repellant, shampoo and shower gel.
Shamwari Game Reserve is 25,000 hectares big, offering you an authentic safari experience in an unfenced camp. The food is prepared by the ranger over an open fire; a game drive vehicle is available at the camp.
