Qorokwe Camp
The upmarket Qorokwe Camp is set in an exclusive and expansive concession of more than 26 000 hectares in the Okavango. The concession borders the famous Moremi Game Reserve and the region is known for its wealth of wildlife and diversity of ecological habitats. Guests stay in one of eight elegantly appointed tented suites, each with en-suite bathrooms that have both indoor and outdoor showers. There is a spacious family unit available that has its own splash pool.
The camp is powered by solar energy. Meals are enjoyed in the main area, which is built overlooking the lagoon. The dining area, library, bar and lounge are connected by walkways and elevated to afford great views of the surrounds. Wildlife viewing is the order of the day here, and the diverse habitats support an array of plains game, herds of giraffe, zebra and elephant, as well as a local 15-member lion pride. This region is known for its predators, including leopard, spotted hyena, cheetah and wild dog.
Birders will delight in the number of species, and the area is recognised as an internationally important birding area. Guests can explore the region on day and night game drives, guided walks and mokoro and boating trips along the waterways.
