Puku Ridge Camp

The history of the South Luangwa National Park is quite intriguing. A British conservationist met with the Paramount Chief in the 1950s to discuss an experiment that would protect the local fauna. Subsequently, the first Zambian game-viewing camp was created and the region became a protected area. The Puku Ridge Camp is situated within the national park, overlooking the woodlands where many unique animals tend to graze. Elephants, kudu and buffalo are among some of the mammals drawn to the fallen leaves beneath the Mopane trees.

Guests are likely to spot leopards and antelope while enjoying a glass of wine on the balcony of the recently renovated rooms. In addition, the camp offers a truly magical glamping experience – perfect for honeymooners. Savour romantic dinners under the sparkling evening sky or lounge in a pristine plunge pool. The luxurious multi-veranda area has inimitable views of the sandy plains and wildlife wandering in the bush. Above all, the game-viewing is spectacular at the Puku Ridge Camp. Experience the Big 5 in a 4×4 ride through the savannah or explore the terrain on foot. Local park rangers guide groups on walking safaris whilst sharing insight on the majestic creatures dwelling nearby.
