Morukuru Ocean House is a 4-bedroom oceanfront villa in De Hoop Nature Reserve, on the Cape Whale Coast. With no other properties in sight, this beautiful home is the perfect place to reconnect with family or enjoy a small celebration with friends.
How you spend your days is entirely up to you: set off on mountain bikes, go on a guided coastal walk, have a beach picnic, try sand boarding, snorkel in rock pools or laze alongside the swimming pool with the butler on hand should you need anything. The team at Morukuru Ocean House is outstanding, and includes fantastic hosts and a private chef.
The house can sleep up to 8 adults and 4 children (all ages welcome). There are 4 suites, each with glass doors opening onto mesmerising ocean views. Upstairs is an open-plan lounge with comfy couches, and a telescope for spotting whales whilst sipping your favourite drink. Downstairs is a beautiful dining room and sheltered patio for alfresco lunches. Chat to the chef about the day’s menus or wander into the kitchen to whip up a snack – it’s your home after all!
The well-named Cape Whale Coast is one of the best places to see Southern Right whales, which come to these waters to calve and nurse their young. Whale season runs from mid-July to November, with numbers reaching their peak in September.
