Migration Expeditions

An exclusive excursion into the enigmatic moonscapes of the Nxai Pan National Park, Migration Expeditions is a semi-mobile camp located amid breath-taking landscapes offering an authentic experience. The six Meru-style tents are designed for comfort and have en-suite bathrooms and bucket showers. The main area is home to an open kitchen where guests can watch the chef in action and a cosy lounge area perfect for enjoying a refreshing gin and tonic or swapping stories of the day’s sightings.

Days are spent on morning and afternoon game drives in search of the region’s famed Kalahari lions, elephant and a myriad of other game, as well as excursions to view Baines Baobabs – the cluster of now-famous baobabs that Baines painted on his excursion to Victoria Falls. This is also the perfect place to experience the annual zebra migration that takes place during the green season each year, with zebra and other herbivores as well as the predators that follow them moving more than 1 000 kilometres in search of food and water. With more than 200 recorded bird species, this is a favoured birdwatching destination. The camp is open from December till end-March.
