Little Governors’ Camp

Little Governors’ Camp is set in a riverine forest on the edge of Kenya’s Masai Mara. Since this camp is only accessible by boat, the peace and quiet of the area are undisturbed with wildlife literally on your doorstep. Lunch may be interrupted by a curious elephant, and the resident warthog family keeps everyone entertained with their antics.

This section of the Masai Mara is famous for excellent game viewing, including the thrilling wildebeest migration river crossings (between May and October). Professional guides lead twice-daily game drives, and the camp is ideally placed for a dawn hot air balloon safari – booked at additional cost.

You may be in the middle of the African bush, but Little Governors’ 17 tents have all the comforts you need including a massive bed, en-suite bathroom and private deck overlooking the wetlands. Delicious breakfasts and lunches are enjoyed outdoors, while dinner is a slightly more formal affair served in the lamp-lit dining tent. The bar tent with its roaring log fire is a fantastic place to chat with other guests about your day’s wildlife sightings.
