Jock Main Lodge

The luxury Jock Safari Lodge was one of the first privately-owned camps in Kruger National Park and is named after Sir Percy Fitzpatrick’s famous novel, Jock of the Bushveld. With just 12 thatched suites, this pristine African bushveld experience is an exclusive one. Suites are linked by wooden walkways to each other and the main lodge and bar which is set around a 400-year old Jackalberry tree.

You will wind your way up the steps to reach the viewing deck overlooking the river a gorgeous rock pool to unwind with a cocktail or aperitif before dinner. You can also do so in the privacy of your own plunge pool and deck at your luxury suite. Dinners can be enjoyed outside under the stars, in the lapa or the fine dining room.

Expect to see a wide variety of game here on drives and walking safaris; the luxury Jock Safari Lodge has exclusive traversing rights on one of Africa’s best Big Five game viewing areas in the Kruger National Park. Besides this, there is the on-site spa, opportunities to view ancient rock art, learn about the night skies and go on a walking safari.
