Chitabe Camp

Chitabe Camp sits tucked amongst the trees on a beautiful island, in a private concession bordering Moremi Game Reserve. This southern region of the Okavango Delta has a rich mix of wooded, wetland and grassland habitats which allows for a surprising variety of wildlife including good numbers of lion, hyena, leopard, cheetah and wild dog.

This welcoming camp has 7 twin bedded room and 1 king-size double. Raised on wooden decks, these safari-styled tents are comfortably furnished and have both indoor and outdoor showers. The main areas at Chitabe Camp were recently rebuilt; and are looking beautiful with plenty of cosy corners to settle in and enjoy floodplain views. There’s also a new gym, as well as a swimming pool for cooling dips in the heat of the day.

Set off on morning and afternoon game drives in an area of the Delta know for exciting year-round game viewing. The safari guides at Chitabe Camp are extremely knowledgeable and go out of their way to ensure great sightings. Night drives, guided safari walks and excellent birding round off the safari experience. In the evenings, catch up with other guests over drinks at the bar before sitting down to a 3-course dinner served in the elegant thatched dining room or out under the stars.
