Abu Camp

Abu Camp has a beautiful setting amongst the trees, in a private concession in Botswana’s Okavango Delta. Stay in one of 6 explorer-style tents, each opening onto a generous deck with an outdoor copper bathtub and private plunge pool overlooking the lagoon.

The surrounding area offers superb game viewing, but what Abu Camp is best known for is its resident elephants. Shortly after arrival you’ll have the extraordinary privilege of being introduced to the Abu herd. A true safari highlight is walking with the herd and their amazing handlers, as you get to know the elephants’ stories and unique personalities.

Other activities include game drives, mokoro trips along peaceful channels or scenic light helicopter flights over the Delta. You can also opt for a night in the Abu Star Bed, an outdoor bedroom raised up over the elephant boma. Imagine lying under the stars, being lulled to sleep by the gentle snores of elephants in the enclosure below you.
